GO Real Estate License owner Daniel Larson -

I was a national Real Estate Licensing trainer for Kaplan Professional Schools for many years, and moved to Fort Myers, after a challenging international divorce, in 2014. I took a Training and Curriculum Development position with a big "Brick and Mortar" school, and taught thousands of live courses.

When the pandemic hit, nobody really knew what was going to happen, we just knew that live courses weren't going to work. I decided to branch off on my own, and build out an On Demand platform. All the smart, experienced people around me implored me that it was impossible to make computer-based courses good. They cited what the industry commonly knows, that:

* On Demand providers often use national content, that covers only general information, but nothing state-specific, and nothing that's on the actual licensing exam

* On Demand providers often use someone else's course books for approvals with the state, so they're stuck with whatever someone else wrote

* On Demand Providers often bait & switch pass rates, letting the consumer think that their high end-of-course exam pass rates are their licensing exam pass rates.

I was determined to change all that.

I decided early on that reading to yourself was never going to work. After 2 decades with live classroom students, I knew that reading to yourself, just hoping you'd "get it," had no chance of success. Then, after 6 months of filming and editing classroom videos, I decided that wasn't going to work either. It could be part of it, but I came to see that I had to produce something that didn't exist.

So, I spent a year writing samples questions, building exam-situation-simulating platforms, and making workbooks to interact with the platform. The end result has been phenomenal. People don't quit, due to being stuck in hours of boring videos, and they don't get bored, because there is a volume of resources available to them. Students can read exam content, listen to explainers, watch videos, flip through a book, and memorize PearsonVUE-exam questions and answers. And... nearly everyone gets done with it fast, within days. And... nearly everyone passes their exam and gets licensed.
